1. Mixing Instruction
Mix Preparation : Weigh plaster and measure water accurately for each mix to ensure uniform moulds or casts. Always use clean cold water, tools and containers. Use of dirty tools or containers may reduce working time and strength. Do not mix with residues of previously used compounds.
Soaking : Add the dental plaster slowly and allow time for adequate soaking of water.
Mixing : Mix by hand or with a vacuum mixer (max of 400 rpm) until a workable paste has been achieved. Caution: Do not overmix. Overmixing can introduce air bubbles, which can create surface imperfections and can reduce working time.
2. Pouring
Pour the paste into a mould under vibration to eliminate bubbles.
3. Demoulding
This step should be done according to prescription.
4. Storage
USG Boral dental plasters should be stored under cover in a dry environment and protected from temperature extremes. Storage in an unsuitable environment can shorten the life of this product. It is recommended that USG Boral dental plasters are used before the Best Before date displayed on the bag. It may still be usable after that date if stored unopened, in an appropriate environment.
